| Retirement force you to stop thinking
that it was your job that was holding you back.
For most people the depressing truth is that they aren't that
organized, disciplined or motivated to get a different kind of
lifestyle that could bring your future on the road to happiness.
Suppose that we cash in our investments and do retire. What do
we find? We wakeup at 9:30 am, surfing the web, watching DVDs,
talking about losing weight , eating patato chips, and maybe accomplishing
one of their goals.
Interaction with your fellow workers.
You have several casual conversations throughout the day with
a variety of people at your job, when you retire; the built-in
social life goes away and it is up to yourself to search new friends,
sure your existing friends are still there but most of them don’t
have the luxury to retire early and will be too tired to get together
in the evening.
Freedom to Travel
One of the great things about retirement is the freedom to travel
and explore the world. Should you take the trips that you dreamed
of when you were working? Why not. When you worked 50 weeks per
year and dreamed of having interaction with other cultures, than
this is a perfect way to start, but traveling 365 days a year
get tiresome and eats your nest egg away very fast.
After a couple of weeks or months you might be glad to be at home
again and planning a complete different direction for your live,
there is always a possibility of study, teaching or starting a
business based on your hobby, the sky is the limit after retirement.
Your number one objective is the pursuit of happiness after retirement.
